{"id":103,"date":"2015-07-28T12:36:27","date_gmt":"2015-07-28T12:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freelanceteacherselfdevelopment.wordpress.com\/?p=103"},"modified":"2015-07-28T12:36:27","modified_gmt":"2015-07-28T12:36:27","slug":"tbl-elt-task-idea-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/getgreatenglish.com\/ftsd\/2015\/07\/28\/tbl-elt-task-idea-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TBL ELT Task Idea #2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I took my second idea from the <a href=\"https:\/\/freelanceteacherselfdevelopment.wordpress.com\/tblt-elt-task-ideas\/\">LinoIt TBL ELT<\/a> Board, a lesson planned especially for this class and using a listening task as the presentation of language (Task 1).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/getgreatenglish.com\/ftsd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/img_1414.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/getgreatenglish.com\/ftsd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/img_1414.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a>&nbsp;<br \/>\nI was banking on three students attending but in the end only one student came and he was 20 minutes late.<br \/>\nWe used the entire task sequence but I looked at listening to reduced forms in connected speech by using a prepared gapped transcript (my just-in-case activity).<br \/>\nWas it the best lesson ever? No. It was with a student who is often late and has erratic attendance so I just don&#8217;t know his needs as well as those of the rest of the class. Did it go OK? Yes.
